Advancing Nanofabrication: ENRIS 2025 Gathers Global Experts in Bologna
Event: ENRIS 2025 – 4th European Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure Symposium
Dates: 13–15 May 2025
Destination: Bologna, Italy
Venue: Bologna Research Area, Via Gobetti
Our involvement: Core PCO
We had the privilege of supporting ENRIS 2025 as Core PCO, held in the vibrant, historic city of Bologna, Italy. This fourth edition of the European Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure Symposium, jointly organized by It-fab and EuroNanoLab, brought together researchers, engineers, and facility leaders from across the globe to explore the future of cleanroom operations, nanofabrication, and user training.
The symposium took place within the innovative setting of the Bologna Research Area, home to nine institutes of CNRand INAF, as well as the state-of-the-art conference centre and laboratories supporting Italy’s research ecosystem.
Over the course of three content-rich days, delegates enjoyed a dynamic program of presentations, discussions, and expert insights, led under the direction of Stefano Zampolli (Chair of the Local Organising Committee) and Thomas Swahn (Chair of the Programme Committee). Sessions focused on cleanroom technologies, collaborative projects, and emerging strategies across Europe’s research infrastructure.
A true highlight of the event was the networking dinner at the renowned Cantina Bentivoglio, where participants continued conversations over local cuisine and live jazz in a relaxed, atmospheric setting — the perfect finale to a day of knowledge exchange.
ENRIS 2025 welcomed over 200 delegates from 26 countries, reflecting the global reach and collaborative spirit of the nanofabrication community.
