EPS Plasma Physics 2025: Science, Sustainability, and a New Chapter in Vilnius
The 51st edition of the EPS Conference on Plasma Physics, held from 7–11 July 2025 in Vilnius, Lithuania, marked a milestone not only for the scientific community but also for us at C-IN. As the official Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), we had the privilege of supporting this renowned international gathering — and proudly delivered our first major event in Vilnius since opening our new representative office earlier this year.
More than just a logistical success, EPS Plasma Physics 2025 was a bold step forward for both the city and the broader event industry. Thanks to outstanding collaboration with Go Vilnius, the local convention bureau, we helped raise the bar for international conferences in Lithuania — setting a new standard of sustainability, inclusivity, and efficiency.
A City That Works for Science
The conference took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, ideally located in the heart of Vilnius. With seamless public transport access (including express bus routes and ride-share pickup zones), attendees could move through the city with ease. From welcome cocktails in the historic Vilnius Town Hall to the atmospheric Gala Dinner at Dūmų fabrikas, the social programme reflected the unique cultural charm of Lithuania’s capital.
Behind every successful session, registration desk, and speaker briefing was a dedicated team of professionals — a synergy of local partners and our experienced C-IN team, empowered by the local presence of our newly opened Vilnius office. This was a major milestone for us: our new presence in the Baltics marks the start of a long-term vision for building impactful events in the region.
Powering Plasma Research Forward
EPS 2025 once again served as a key platform for groundbreaking work in the field of plasma physics — from inertial fusion to magnetic confinement, space plasmas, and advanced laser applications. The scientific programme, accessible through a fully-featured mobile app, included hundreds of talks, posters, and workshops. The app allowed participants to create personal schedules, receive real-time updates, and even vote in the official photo & video contest.
In the spirit of knowledge-sharing and excellence, the conference also featured several prestigious awards, including:
-
The Alfvén Prize for major research breakthroughs
-
The Sylvie Jacquemot Early Career Prize
-
The Innovation Prize
-
The PPCF Outstanding Paper Prize
-
A series of PhD and Student Poster Awards recognising the next generation of plasma scientists
These awards reflect the core values of the EPS community: scientific rigor, innovation, and mentorship.
